ME 218B - Hats Off!
Winter 2010
For 218B my team was required to build a robot that could knock acrylic targets off of stands of various heights by shooting small nerf balls at them. My team took a different approach to the problem than most groups and decided to shoot from a stationary position instead of moving around. This made our control algorithms much simpler, but it also meant we had to design a very accurate nerf gun which could shoot a nerf ball at a 4 inch by 6 inch target 12 feet away. We ended up spending a lot of time in the PRL tweeking our ball laucher design.
We had to make a website for the project. Here is the link http://badboysrobot.weebly.com/
